Striped camo slushy hat

Looks like I'm on a hunt for the perfect camo yarn at this point...

Pickleweasel360 recently sent me two skeins of this beautifuly coloured camo yarn. I'm no acrylic person, but it had a bit more plant fiber feel to it and pure plastic like most acrylic yarn, so I decided to give it a try, making a hat for all year round weather.

I think I tested 4-5 patterns before I found one that worked with this yarn. It's kinda thick and chuncky, so all the patterns I wanted to use for it turned into a yarn eating monster! In the end, I ended up using the "Rikke Hat" pattern, and it worked perfectly. I had to adjust it a bit though, since the gauge didn't match 100%. But I ended up only using one skein! So now I need to find another pattern for the second skein And I've also got three skeins of another type of camo yarn that I got from my mother. So loads of hats!



Yarn: Deborah Norville Everyday Soft Worsted 100% acrylic
Needles: 3,5mm and 4,5mm
