Purple variegated socks

Just a pair of ordenary socks. My mother handed me this skein of beautiful purple shades and asked me to work up a pair of socks for her, which of course I did. But oh man, how much I hated the yarn before I was done! It got a handspun feel to it and it breaks easily, not to mention that it tangles and makes these small balls of thin fibers on the strands... It was also very thin, so it took a long time to work them up.

Yarn: Nordlys from Viking garn, 80% wool, 20% nylon
Needles: 3mm
