Light grey ruffle lace scarf

Description

During Easter, my mother asked me to knit up a scarf for my grandfather's ladyfriend as a gift. She pulled out a skein of this crazy laced yarn in white and light grey/begie colors with glitter thread and handed me a couple of 6mm needles.

This thing looks way more complicated than it's really is. The yarn is allready laces so what you do is just use some of the laceing as stitches and knit into them so that the "yarn" unfolds and creates this kind of ruffle scarf/boa. As I said, it looks complicated, but it was really simple, yet demanded a unessesarily amount of work. For me, the way I knit, hold my yarn and speed that I work with, this felt just stupid. But the result are pretty enough. Nothing I would wear myself, but I wouldn't mind working up a few more and give as gifts. It took me about 3 hours to make this scarf that measures about 135cm, and it used the whole skein.
