Edit 11.03.14: WOW! My second DD! SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! Thank you Brookette! Thank you so much! And thank you all for your comments and favorites and watches!
Funny how my february contest entry two years in a row now have won first price and a DD now :3 Guess I'm extra super creative in february? I don't mind that!
For the february contest at The theme was "comic". And I won first price!
When they announced the contest my mind just said click and this idea was born! I just knew I had to make a fair-isle sweater with Batman symbols all over it. After a yarn round, I started this sweater on the 5th of february and finished it up, washed and blocked it at the 15th of february! New personal record for adult fair-isle sweater.
I half followed the pattern for a standar sweater, mixed in my own measurements and did some changes here and there to make it fit as perfectly as possible. The fair-isle is based off the traditional Marius pattern for round yokes, just to make it easier for myself without having to do all the calculations and numbers, and I decided to keep some of the Marius parts in there since I do love that pattern so much. So please, do not copy or alter this in any way.
Batman is my favorite comicbook hero, hands down. I grew up watching Batman Forever with my oldest brother and we had Batman comic books at our cabin. Around the age of 12-13 I discovered Michael Keaton Batman and I really fell in love and to this day, he's my favorite Batman and Jack Nicholson is the ultimate Joker. So ofcourse I had to use the classic Batman logo and also put "Joker" into the pattern.
3,5mm needles, Silja superwash yarn
