Wine holders, nisse

Here in Norway, we got something we call "nisser" that's kind of a mix between Santa and gnomes. They are small in size, have red hats, a big grey beard and old fashioned norwegian knitted clothing. They mostly live on farms and help out with the animals in the barn. If you put out a big bowl of porridge for them around christmas then they will be good, but if you don't then they'll pull pranks on the family and farm.
Some of these come with presents, but we also got a more Santa like creature, still called "nisse" that comes on christmas eve and gives out presents for the children. He can either look like the farm "nisser" just tall like a man, or he can look like the american Santa with red and white clothing.

Now, these two "nisser" or gnome-santas if you wish, are wine holders. They are very popular around here, You just put a 3 liters bag of wine inside it and tap the wine from his...butt... It's very popular with hens like these aswell, but they are mostly out for the rest of the year or expecially easter. These two are christmaspresents for my parents and my boyfriends parents. They have been felted so the fabric is thick and holds the bag in place. Just had to take this picture out in the snow! I also made theyr nose MUCH bigger than the pattern
