Description
This pattern was published in a book called "Eventyrvotter" or "Fairytale mittens" when you translate it into english. The book was recently released here in Norway and contains 20 different patterns for mittens based off Scandinavian and some western European fairytales.
My mother asked me if I would be so kind to knit up a pair from the book so they could display it along with the book in the book shop she works in. Of course I could, so here's the result. These mittens are based of the fairytale Sleeping Beauty, or "Tornerose" as she's called in Norwegian (directly translated, it would be "Thorn Rose"). I was given scrap yarn that BARELY was enough for a pair of kids mittens.
There's so many wonderful patterns in this book, and I would love to make more of them! This winter may be filled with mittens, guys!
Yarn: 100% wool scraps
Needles: 3mm
