Red Marius tablet cover

Description

So I got this old ass Asus Eee Transformer tablet that I bought during the summer of 2011, almost 3 years ago when tables was still fairly fresh. It's big, heavy and kinda bulky, but you can attach a keyboard too it and make it a kinda laptop-ish thingy. It is all around awesome! When it was new, I knitted a kinda crappy cover for it with a traditional fair-isle pattern called "Setesdalsmønster" which originated from the place I went to school for 3 years and miss greatly every day of my life. This new cover, I knitted with the Marius pattern. Yall should know my love for Marius by now, and the fact that Marius is the most popular traditional knit in Norway, but in retrospect, I kinda wish that I knitted this new cover in Setesdalmønster instead. Sadly for me, this yarn I used was EXACLTY enough for this cover, in both colors, and wouldn't work for Setesdalsmønster. If you were wondering, the yarn are the leftovers from the wine holder "nisse" I made in march.

Marius is the name of the fair-isle pattern, and it's a national treasure and a big part of our knitting tradition here in Norway. The last year, this pattern has become very popular once again here in Norway, and in the summer of 2012, they released a book with patterns for clothing with it. It's an amazing an beautiful pattern made by the knitter Unn Søiland in 1953 for a Norwegian comedy movie called "Troll i ord" which is a term we use here, almost like "be careful what you say, it might come true".
The main actor in this movie, and also one of the persons wearing the first sweater with this pattern, was Marius Eriksen, and that's where the pattern got it's name.

Artic yarn (100% wool) on 4,5mm needles.
