Halloween fair-isle cardigan by KnitLizzy Halloween fair-isle cardigan by KnitLizzy
I'm submitting this to the :icondaknitters:'s October contest

This is Halloween! This is Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

I am SO excited about this cardigan! You have no idea!!! I saw someone on a Norwegian cardigan group knitting this pattern in a warm orange tone with grey and green details, and I knew I had to take it a step further and make a full on Halloween cardigan, complete with Jack o'lanterns and all!
For months and months I've been waiting to start this one, but I've had so many other projects that needed to be finished first,  but I NEEDED to finish it for Halloween, otherwise it would be pointless to even make it...and when that's said, I will be wearing this one all year around. Because who doesn't love a bit of Halloween in their everyday life?

The original pattern for this one is called Høstruta, and I've already made one cardigan with this pattern. It is so easy and fast to work up, it's a pure joy to knit! I've made this one a bit shorter than my first one just to have two differently cut cardigans.

After 5 cardigans for myself without pockets, I decided to add some on this one, not only for the sake of practicality, but also to get that little extra detail of purple poking out. I wanted to litter this one with purple details, which is why it has purple edges everywhere, purple fair-isle on the yoke, purple pockets and thread on the buttons.
I drew up the charts for the Jack o'lanters myself to replace a rose pattern that's originally on the sleeves. I also replaced these on the previous cardigan I made.

Yarn: Kauni and Tines - 100% wool
Needles: 3-3,5mm

Sadly no, the designer is Norwegian and from what I know, all of her patterns are in Norwegian only
