Yes it is me in the picture. For those of you whom doesn't know, Marius is the name of the fair-isle pattern around the chest, and it's a national treasure and a big part of our knitting tradition here in Norway. The last year, this pattern has become very popular once again here in Norway, and in the summer of 2012, they released a book with patterns for clothing with it. It's an amazing an beautiful pattern made by the knitter Unn Søiland in 1953 for a Norwegian comedy movie called "Troll i ord" which is a term we use here, almost like "be careful what you say, it might come true". The main actor in this movie, and also one of the persons wearing the first sweater with this pattern, was Marius Eriksen, and that's where the pattern got it's name.
I startet his one in the fall of 2012 and finished it off right before christmas so that I could use it for family dinners and so on. I'm quite pleased with it.

Yeah, you could knit on longer sleeves, I guess. But it's made in wool so it is really warm no mather what kind of weater you use it in. Ofcourse, if it was in cotton or some acryllic/synthetic yarn, then it would be more suited for warmer weather.
Thank you, and aww, I feel you there. Knitted clothing like this doesn't really work for lumpy persons. I know it doesn't look that bad on me in this picture, but this was actually the most "flattering" angle without any hold in underwear.
