Afmaeli - Lettlopi cardigan

Description

Original name for this one is Afmæli, but thanks yet again to dA not allowing Scandinavian letters in their titles, it's called Afmaeli.

I truly have fallen in love with this yarn. It is so amazingly warm and weather proof that I can't even! It's pretty rough and if you're even slightly ware of itchy wool and can bare normal stuff, you will itch from this. My oldest niece described giving me a hug while wearing this fiber was like hugging a hedgehog.

I've been drooling over this pattern (which is originally a jumper pattern) for some time now, and when we decided to discontinue Lettlopi in our store, I snatched up as much of it as I could and made this cardigan. I made it extra roomy so I could wear a normal cardigan/jumper under it during colder weather like we're having now. And true enough, it is super warm! I've been using it as a winter jacket most of November and December down to -10'C. Any colder than that and I've just worn my normal winter coat. But it has been amazingly good to wear. It's keeping me warm, and with two layers of wool, letting my body regulate its own heat level is pretty easy. It breaths and it's 90% wind proof. It is also waterproof to some level. It doesn't get went in the snow, but when the snow on it melts, it will get wet, so I tend to not wear it if it is snowing outside and I'm going somewhere where I need to return home in 3-4 hours.

The colour of it is more green in person. Imagine a very green petrol colour or a dark forest green with a hint of blue tone. It's very delicious and fresh. The buttons also represents the colours in the cardigan perfectly; green with a rusty orange edge. Just perfect
