Advent Angel fair-isle socks

A different kind of fair-isle socks from me.

Around Christmas time, I saw a woman on Facebook whom had taken the charts from a pair of mittens and worked them into socks instead. One of these had angels on them and I just fell in love with how they looked. After a quick search, I found the magazine where the mitten charts came from, but of course this magazine was from early december and therefor not avilable in stores anylonger. My mother gets these magazines every month, but she had of course tossed hers out by the time I knew of the mittens. She did however manage to get another copy from a friend whom had yet to toss it out. But later I found the pattern online...thypical...

The original socks that I saw had the angel turned around te other way and had parts of the lower pattern cut ut. So instead of copying the socks like I intented to do, I spent forever drawing everything down with the gusset and heel and decreases. I ended up having to plot in some extra stuff on the bottom to fill the toe out. But because of this, the angel did end up a bit too far up on the foot. It also became a tiny bit too wide. Should have done a couple more decreases perhaps...or thinner yarn. Will most likely end up making another pair at a later time.

Yarn:Safirgarn 100% wool
Needles: 3,5mm
